Board backs two November 2026 state funding ballot measures

What happened
On Oct. 20 the board took up Resolution 26-008 supporting a statewide K-12 funding ballot initiative (Prop NN) and Resolution 26-009 supporting Amendment 87, the Income Tax Fairness Act.
Why it matters to families
Both measures change how much money Colorado schools get. The district estimates Amendment 87 would add about $4.5 million a year starting July 1, 2027.
The evidence
The Oct. 20 agenda lists both resolutions. The attached Amendment 87 sheet projects $4,501,000 a year for Adams 14 and says the district's state funding shortfall since 2009 totals $95.4 million. The Prop NN sheet describes at least 2% yearly K-12 funding growth for 10 years.
