District proposes more after-school places at Adelante and a three-day program at Renaissance

What happened

The board is scheduled to consider adding 80 ELOP places at Adelante Dual Language Academy and a three-day program at Renaissance Academy at Mathson. The proposed Renaissance program would run November 23–25, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for up to 125 middle-school students.

Why it matters to families

If approved, the expansion would give more families access to expanded-learning care at Adelante and provide a supervised program during three non-instructional days at Renaissance. The agenda requests a $158,020 contract increase for both services.

The evidence

The agenda describes 60 additional Adelante places for grades 1–8 and 20 for TK/K, funded by a $149,520 increase, plus an $8,500 non-instructional-day program at Renaissance for up to 125 middle-school students on November 23, 24 and 25. Board approval is scheduled, not yet established. Document 99029.
