What happened

The August budget update raised projected revenue from $342.1 million to $359.3 million. About $14.2 million is a one-time grant; about $3.0 million reduces the district’s special-education contribution.

Why it matters to families

The new money improves this year’s outlook, but most of it cannot safely fund permanent costs.

The evidence

The district’s revised budget table reports the before-and-after totals and separates the one-time grant from the ongoing special-education funding change. Projected spending is $352.9 million.
