What happened

Blue Valley has begun planning a March 2027 bond referendum, with a proposed emphasis on career and technical education and upkeep of existing facilities and technology. District staff said the plan is not centered on new school buildings or a large round of additions; voters would decide whether to fund the proposal.

Why it matters to families

The referendum could fund districtwide facility and technology work and career-education improvements, but the project list and financing remain proposals rather than an approved bond package.

The evidence

At the October 12 meeting, staff said the district would begin the formal process toward a March 2027 referendum and described a proposed package focused on career and technical education plus existing facilities and technology. Staff said it was not a plan to build a new school or many additions. The board approved using construction-manager-at-risk delivery for possible 2027 bond projects; it did not approve the bond itself.
