Board adopts 2026-27 budget of $1.13 billion

What happened

On June 9, 2026 the board adopted the 2026-27 budget. The appropriation across all funds is about $1.127 billion, including $386.2 million of General Operating Fund spending and $506.6 million of General Operating Fund appropriation.

Why it matters to families

The budget sets what is spent on classrooms, staff and buildings while the funded student count is projected to drop by 539 students (2.0%) to about 26,538, per the budget book, and state funding is tightly limited.
