New K-5 reading curriculum: Amplify CKLA
What happened
On June 25, 2026 the board adopted Amplify CKLA as the new reading and writing (ELA) curriculum for kindergarten through 5th grade.
Why it matters to families
Every elementary student will learn reading and writing from new materials. In January, elementary staff had discussed declining reading and math scores.
