The district's current budget picture starts with a setback in September 2025. According to the School Committee minutes, a failed override contributed to the loss of 48 staffing positions, which affected classes, athletics, and extracurricular programs across the district.

By May 2026, the committee moved to right the budget. Its members unanimously adopted a revised $100,585,484 operating budget for FY27 after the towns approved lower assessments, and they increased the planned use of Education and Debt (E&D) reserves from $2 million to $2.8 million to close the gap.

In the same meeting, the committee accepted a $625,564 gift from Raynham that will add at least seven K-8 teaching positions in Raynham schools: one kindergarten teacher, one fourth-grade teacher, two fifth-grade teachers, one sixth-grade teacher, one seventh-grade teacher, and at least one additional teacher.
