What happened

California High School’s 2026–27 site-budget report lists ending PLTW engineering among the program and service cuts. The report also lists eliminating color printing and shifting to digital copies as part of the reductions.

Why it matters to families

Ending an engineering program may remove a hands-on course option for students; the minutes identify the loss as a budget-driven program cut, rather than a routine supply change.

The evidence

The September 9, 2026 Site Council minutes state that reductions for the $298,817 budget included “Program and service cuts for ending PLTW engineering, eliminating color printing, and shifting to digital copies.”
