Canyon Elementary — Facilities

Over the past year, Canyon Elementary has been moving step by step through a planned facilities improvement process, starting with big-picture planning and ending with a concrete construction contract. In September 2025, the board launched a Prop 2 facilities master plan to map the district's priorities, including fire/life-safety work, accessibility, TK space and broader campus modernization.

Three months later, in December 2025, the board took the next step by expanding its contract with Persinger Architects for $64,685 to prepare construction documents for the modernization, turning the master plan into a workable design.

Most recently, in June 2026, the board approved the first visible construction item: a $95,947 contract with Town & Country Roofing to replace roofs on the main school, Room C and the water building over the summer. Together, these actions show a district steadily converting planning into funded, scheduled improvements for its campus.
