District news
High school gym floor damage limits sports
What happened
On October 27, the superintendent said part of Carmel High School’s gym floor remained roped off because of water damage. Community lunch could continue there, but competitive play would likely move elsewhere.
Why it matters to families
Students and families may need to travel to another site for games while the gym cannot host competition.
The evidence
The superintendent said the district planned to remove the floor at the appropriate time to identify and fix the cause; a repair date and funding were not established.
