$110 million HVAC, window and flooring work begins at elementary schools

What happened

Voters authorized up to $110 million for HVAC, electrical, window and flooring upgrades at all nine elementary schools and the Birchwood School. The district lists construction from summer 2026 to summer 2031 and says work starts this summer.

Why it matters to families

Elementary classrooms will be under construction for several years. The district says the borrowing is meant to be tax neutral because old debt is ending and State Building Aid is expected, but that is an expectation, not a guarantee.
