District news
District has an acting, then an interim, superintendent

What happened
On Aug. 4, 2026 the board approved an Acting Superintendent agreement with Bryan Frank (3 yes, 1 no, 1 abstain). On Sept. 18 it approved an Interim Superintendent agreement with Dr. Peggie Staib (4 yes, 1 no). Dr. Joseph Centamore was still listed as superintendent in early July. On Aug. 4 the board also approved a settlement agreement and release, including a resignation, for an employee named only on a confidential schedule; the posted agenda's notes list Dr. Centamore beside that item. On Oct. 6 the agenda adds an interim agreement for a business-office head.
Why it matters to families
The superintendent runs daily operations and carries out the budget. Changing leaders twice in one summer, while the district is also reviewing its finances, makes it harder for families to know who is in charge. The records we collected do not describe a search for a permanent superintendent.
The evidence

July 6-9 minutes list Joseph T. Centamore, Ed.D., as Superintendent. Oct. 6 agenda: Interim Agreement with Laura Newman, file named 'Interim Asst Super for Business'.
