What happened

A break in Glennallen School's water lines cut water pressure and left the water discolored. After a day of repair work did not fully restore service, the district ran March 19, 2026 as a remote-learning day for all K-12 students at Glennallen, sending home packet work while maintenance worked into the evening. Water was confirmed restored the afternoon of March 19, and school resumed on a normal schedule March 20.

Why it matters to families

Glennallen is the district's largest school, and losing usable water in the building meant every student there switched to a packet/remote day on short notice; families needed to arrange child care or supervise home learning with under a day's notice.

The evidence

Three dated district and school letters (March 18-20, 2026) describe the water pressure and discoloration problem, announce the March 19 remote-learning day and K-12 packet/online-support plan, and confirm water was restored and school resumed normally on March 20.
