New principal now leads Craig High School and PACE

What happened

Spenser Nelson is now the principal of both Craig High School and PACE Statewide Homeschool, replacing Josh Andrews. Board meeting agendas show Andrews submitting the combined CHS & PACE principal report through May 27, 2026, no report filed in June while the position was listed 'off contract,' and Nelson submitting the report starting August 19, 2026.

Why it matters to families

The CHS/PACE principal oversees the district's only high school and its statewide correspondence program, which alone enrolls roughly 430 students. A change in that single role touches a large share of everyone CCSD serves.
