District leader and principal Sue Blair resigns; duties split among part-timers

What happened
On June 20, 2026 the board accepted the resignation of Susan Blair, the district's Senior Education Officer, special education lead and principal. In August the board split her work among a part-time special education lead, an administrator and the preschool/kindergarten program coordinator instead of hiring a new district leader.
Why it matters to families
Croydon now runs without a single top administrator. A board member said state law only requires someone to carry out those duties, and the board plans to see how the year goes before filling any gaps.
The evidence
June 21, 2026 district post: the board "unanimously voted on June 20, 2026, to accept the resignation of Susan Blair, who has served as the district's Senior Education Officer, LEA, and Principal for the past two years." August 18 minutes list the replacement arrangement.
