Curley is developing schoolwide screen-use guidelines
What happened
The SSC began a technology-use audit and work-group process focused on purposeful use, family transparency, age differences, and accessibility; proposed handbook language was tabled rather than adopted.
Why it matters to families
The resulting guidance could change how often and why students use screens in classrooms, transitions, lunch, recess, and other parts of the school day.
The evidence
June 9 notes call for a schoolwide audit, wider family and student input, a public-comment step, and draft guidelines, while recording that members were not ready to approve the proposed handbook wording.
