What happened

In September 2026 the business manager reported revenue $770,697 above the original forecast: about $630,000 in one-time state per-student (BSA) funding that the legislature tied to oil prices, plus about $141,000 in energy relief. Earlier, correspondence-program allotments had run about $134,000 over forecast.

Why it matters to families

One-time money tied to oil prices can't be counted on next year, so using it for ongoing costs could leave a gap later.

The evidence

September 2026 meeting recording: 'variance to the original forecast of $770,697... a combination of the $630,000 which was the BSA one-time funds... and the energy rebate... $141,000'. August 2026 recording: correspondence line 'over about $134,000'.
