Board president and secretary are leaving; three seats on the November 3 ballot
What happened
At its October 2026 meeting the board passed resolutions honoring board president Don Adams (9 years) and secretary Jenna Hamm (12 years) for their service. Their seats and a third seat, held by Katie Griebe, expire in November 2026, and the borough election is November 3, 2026.
Why it matters to families
Losing two long-serving leaders at once means at least two new members on a seven-member board that sets the budget and hires the superintendent.
The evidence
October 2026 meeting recording: Resolution 26-01 recognizes Don Adams' 9 years since November 2017; Resolution 26-02 recognizes Jenna Hamm's 12 years since November 2014. The Denali Borough school board page lists Seats B (Hamm), F (Adams) and G (Griebe) with terms expiring November 2026; the borough election page sets Election Day as November 3, 2026.
