What happened

The district's audit for the year ended June 30, 2026 gives a qualified opinion on governmental activities because the district chose not to adopt GASB 75. Under that rule, the cost of retiree benefits other than pensions would be reported. The auditor says it has not determined how much this affects the numbers. The audit also restated the student activity fund ($114,492), which had been reported in the wrong fund type.

Why it matters to families

A qualified opinion means part of the financial statements does not follow standard accounting rules.
