District news
Redistricted high-school families are choosing where students will attend in 2027–28

What happened
Students in grades 9–11 who live in areas affected by redistricting are being asked to choose between staying at their current high school and attending their newly assigned school for 2027–28. The district reported nearly 75% of forms completed by Oct. 12, with the form closing Oct. 16 and scheduling to begin in January.
Why it matters to families
The choice determines which high school these students will attend as the district implements new attendance boundaries; families who missed the form deadline may need to contact the district to confirm their student's placement.
The evidence
At the Oct. 12 meeting, district leaders said the school-determination form for current high-school students affected by redistricting was nearing its Oct. 16 deadline, with nearly 75% of forms completed, and that student records would be updated before scheduling begins in January. The June 29 meeting described the final attendance boundaries taking effect in 2027–28 and said students in affected areas could choose to stay at their current high school or attend their newly assigned school; classes of 2028, 2029 and 2030 could remain at their current school, while classes of 2031 and later would follow assigned boundaries.
