What happened

The board adopted Amplify CKLA for reading on June 2, 2026 and new math materials, including Amplify Math for grades K-5, on September 1, 2026. The math adoption had been postponed for two years.

Why it matters to families

Students will use new reading and math materials this school year. Under the new 2026-27 budget, curriculum is paid from a new curriculum fund and the summer school budget instead of the general fund.

The evidence

June 2, 2026 recording: 'motion to approve the adoption of the Amplify CKLA language curriculum', seconded and passed. September 1, 2026 recording: former principal's request to adopt Amplify Math for K-5 plus materials for grades 6-12; 'this district had postponed for two years'; motion passed. Taken from auto-captions.
