What happened

In June the board adopted a 2026-27 budget that spent 87,358 more than it brought in. After the state budget passed, the August 45-day revision raised expected revenue by 39,231 to .76 million. The plan now ends the year 3,777 ahead, with .68 million in reserves.

Why it matters to families

In December the first interim report warned of deficit spending for three years. This revision shows the gap closing for now, mostly from one-time and other state money.
