East Side Union High School District — Admin hiring

In mid-April, the board moved to fill two principal openings for next school year, appointing Anne Tran as principal of Silver Creek High and Paul Landshof as principal of Mt. Pleasant High. Both appointments take effect July 1, 2026, giving the district new leadership at those campuses ahead of the 2026-27 school year.

On May 7, the board continued its leadership hiring by appointing Carla Hernandez as principal of James Lick High School, also effective July 1, 2026. This appointment was published twice as separate alerts, both reporting the same action.

On the same day, the board took a separate staffing action, unanimously rescinding notices that would have released three associate principals. That decision means those administrators will remain in their roles rather than being released.

Taken together, these actions show the district completing a slate of principal appointments for the coming school year while also choosing to keep three associate principals in place.
