With no quorum at its May meeting, board approved the 2026-27 budget by email
What happened
Only five members came to the May 20, 2026 meeting, too few for a quorum. The chair then asked members to vote by email. The minutes record 7-0 votes to approve the 2026-27 budget and the consent agenda, and 6-0 with one abstention to give Randy Fox a second term. Earlier in the year the board also planned an email vote on its facilities committee charter.

Votes taken by email are not made in a public meeting where families can watch or comment. Board discussions also point to a board short on members and time.
