Budget counts on $123,000 in fundraising not yet raised, and enrollment is under plan

What happened
The 2026-27 budget includes about $133,000 of 'aspirational' income from grants, events and donations that was not secured when the board approved it. By September about $123,000 was still unsecured. Enrollment was 129, three students under the three-year plan, which leaders said leaves the school about $30,000 short.
Why it matters to families
Last year only about 60% of this kind of unsecured income came in. As a charter school, the school cannot raise local taxes, so shortfalls have to come out of programs, staff or savings.
