Board approves refinancing its bonds (General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2026)

What happened
At a June 16, 2026 special meeting the board voted 5-0 on Resolution 2026-06-16 to issue General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2026, which replace older bonds with new ones, and let the president, superintendent and CFO set final prices. On September 1 the CFO and a bond adviser from RBC Capital Markets gave the board a refunding update.
Why it matters to families
Refinancing can lower interest costs on voter-approved bonds, which affects what taxpayers pay.

The resolution text and 5-0 vote appear in the September 1 packet. Final interest rates and savings are not in the collected text.
