District settles construction contract dispute for $1.78 million

What happened

In closed session the board approved a $1,782,393.94 settlement with Thompson Builders Corporation resolving a contract dispute, of which $1,382,393.94 was contract work the contractor had already completed but not been paid for. In exchange, Thompson Builders released all claims against the district.
