How Evergreen schools are paid for
Evergreen Local School District serves Metamora and nearby parts of Fulton County, Ohio. It has three schools: Evergreen Elementary, Evergreen Middle and Evergreen High. Like other Ohio districts, it is funded by state foundation aid, local property taxes and a voter-approved school income tax. The 0.25% traditional income tax raises about $545,000 a year and expires at the end of 2027. The district also expects state aid cuts in 2027 and 2028.
Income tax renewal
Failed May 5, 2026. Back on the ballot November 3, 2026. Worth about $545,000 a year.
State cuts ahead
The superintendent estimated cuts of about $600,000 in 2027 and $800,000 in 2028.
Special education
About $1.05 million a year goes to the regional ESC, mostly taken directly from state aid.
Spending tracking forecast
The treasurer's monthly reports showed revenue and spending on track with the five-year forecast through September 2026.
The district has no plan to cut positions, and the superintendent said all open teaching positions for 2026-27 were filled.
