Board adopts multiple policy revisions on instructional materials, discrimination, and staff development

What happened

At the August 26, 2026 meeting, the Board adopted a large batch of revised board policies, administrative regulations, and exhibits (including Policy 0410, 1312.2, 1312.3, 6141, 6161.1, 6161.11, 5131.8 mobile devices, 5020/5022 parent rights and privacy, 6159 series special education, 7214 bonds, and bylaws 9220/9240) to align with new 2025 state laws (AB 715, AB 495, AB 932, SB 373, SB 848, AB 640, etc.) covering instructional-materials review standards, discrimination complaint procedures, mandated reporter training, and board-member finance training requirements.
