Graves County board approves FY27 tax rates, projecting $375,742 more general-fund revenue

What happened
At its Sept. 10 special meeting, the Graves County Board of Education approved FY27 rates of 44.9 cents on real property, 45.2 cents on personal property and 46.4 cents on motor vehicles. The approved levy is projected to generate $11,270,376.65, or $375,741.69 more than FY26 revenue.
Why it matters to families
The approved districtwide levy sets the local tax rates supporting school operations for FY27. The minutes identify planned allocations for the additional revenue, including instruction ($188,019.18), transportation and plant maintenance ($101,301.92), and the building fund ($41,331.59).
