Elementary iPads stay at school on weekends and breaks
What happened
At the October 14, 2026 meeting the district's technology leader said elementary iPads now go home only Monday to Thursday, and not over weekends or school breaks. Devices begin going home in grade 3.
Why it matters to families
Parents asked for fewer screens and easier control at home. The district also promoted a free tool that lets parents limit district iPads from 4 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., but said only about 200 students use it.
