Board sends $225 m facilities bond to November voters

What happened
The board unanimously called a November 3 election for up to $225 m in school-facility bonds, later identified as Measure I. No election result is established.
Why it matters to families
The proposal funds capital improvements, not salaries or ongoing operations. The district plans to keep the combined old/new bond tax rate within its 2025–26 rate; that is not a promise of no taxes.
The evidence
July 28 minutes approve Resolution 4183 seven to zero. The full resolution requires 55% voter approval, oversight and audits; tax estimates average $49 per $100,000 assessed value, peak $60 and total debt service about $381.7 million, all estimates. September 8 minutes identify Measure I.
