Kodama moved from Sylvester Middle School, Miller had been an assistant principal at Tyee, and Parker came from Renton’s Bryn Mawr Elementary.
Why it matters to families
A new principal means a change in school leadership for students, families and staff at each of these schools.
The evidence
At the meeting, Superintendent Ivan Duran introduced the administrators and said Kodama joined Tyee High School as principal in early summer 2026, Miller joined Choice Academy after serving as Tyee High School assistant principal, and Parker joined Shorewood Elementary School as principal in 2026 after leading Bryn Mawr Elementary in the Renton School District.
