What happened

For 2026-27 the district proposed keeping its tax rate at $1.2252 per $100 of value. Because the median home value rose from $118,580 to $130,590, the estimated school tax bill on that home goes from $1,453 to $1,600, about 10% more.

Why it matters to families

Families who own homes will likely pay more in school taxes even though the rate did not change. The board adopted the 2026-27 budget on August 31, 2026.

The evidence

The district's Taxpayer Impact Statement for 2026-27 lists the median home values, the rate and estimated bills. The 2026-27 adopted budget is dated August 31, 2026.
