LRSD proposes new and restored academic programs at J.A. Fair and Dunbar

What happened

For its Oct. 15 meeting, the superintendent recommends a J.A. Fair School of Sports Sciences program, accelerated and advanced-learning pathways for middle schools, and reinstating International Studies at Dunbar Middle School. These are proposed LRSD Forward changes, not yet approved.

Why it matters to families

If approved, the changes would affect program offerings at J.A. Fair and Dunbar and expand accelerated-learning pathways across middle schools; the agenda includes a 2027–28 Phase I implementation document for J.A. Fair.
