What happened

In March 2026 the board decided to take proposals from food service management companies. On June 8, 2026 it approved a contract with Keystone Food Service, pending approval from the Kansas State Department of Education. In July it set lunch at $3.50 for grades 1-6 and $3.75 for grades 7-12.
