What happened

The Commission's review rated the school's three-year total margin and two-year cash flow as High Risk in both FY24 and FY25, and enrollment variance rose to High Risk. Cash on hand was 26 days in FY24 and 36 days in FY25. FY26 ended better than budgeted: an unaudited loss of about $24,600 against a planned $117,200 loss.

Why it matters to families

A small school with thin cash reserves has less room to absorb an enrollment dip or a cost spike. The school's enrollment-recovery plan is in its last budgeted year, and its goal of a balanced FY28 budget has not been tested yet.

The evidence

Charter renewal recommendation, section 3, 'Financial sustainability measures' and 'Execution against the financial plan.' In November 2025 the board treasurer also reported the school was about $150,000 short for the next year because enrollment fell.
