What happened

On August 10, 2026, the board adopted a new cell phone policy. Students may not use phones or other mobile devices at school or on school activities. Phones must be off and kept in backpacks during class. Students may still use them in an emergency, with a teacher's permission, or for a medical need or IEP/504 plan.

Why it matters to families

This changes what students can do with their phones every school day, including at lunch and on field trips.
