Board changed graduation requirements on a 13-1 vote

Curriculum

What happened

On July 9, 2026 the board adopted revisions to its graduation requirement policies for students through the Class of 2029 (IK) and for the Class of 2030 and after (IKF), each by a 13-1 vote.

Why it matters to families

These policies decide what Mt. Ararat High School students must complete to earn a diploma. The minutes record the vote but not which requirements changed; the policy texts are in the July 9 packet.

The evidence

July 9, 2026 regular meeting minutes, items 12.2 and 12.3: second reading/adoption of revisions to Policy IK (through Class of 2029) and IKF (Class of 2030 and after), 'Voted: 13 yes, 1 opposed'.
