Public comment limits dropped after pushback

What happened
A proposed rewrite of the board's public-comment policy (0167.3) would have limited comments to agenda items and required speakers to give their address. After 7 speakers objected in February and 4 more in March, the board tabled it twice. In April it voted 7-0 to keep the current policy, adding a statement the president reads when a comment breaks the rules.
Why it matters to families
The policy controls how parents and residents can speak to the board at meetings.
The evidence
The January 12 minutes record the first reading; the February 9 and March 9 minutes record the tabling votes; the April 13 minutes record the final 7-0 vote.
