2026-27 plan shows spending about $18.4 million above projected revenue
What happened
The adopted LCAP projects $172,800,065 in total revenue and $191,219,214 in planned spending for 2026-27, a difference of $18,419,149.
Why it matters to families
The March budget update separately said the district expected approximately $6–7 million in deficit spending in each of three years and would use one-time fund balance to absorb short-term gaps. The LCAP totals show the broader all-funds spending plan, but do not by themselves establish what reductions or reserve drawdowns the Board will ultimately approve.
The evidence
The LCAP Budget Overview for Parents states both the projected revenue and planned spending totals and says expenditures outside the LCAP cover normal operations.
