Building committee sketches next capital reserve projects, up to about $15 million
What happened
On Oct. 14 the Board Building Committee reported the high school track resurfacing is done and the new auto and wood shop is nearly ready. It listed possible next projects: brick repairs at Schools #5 and #6, a new public address system, new playgrounds, a middle school track with possible turf field, and high school auditorium lighting. The budget cap is about $15 million.
Why it matters to families
These projects would use savings already set aside and could change buildings families use. The list is only a plan for study. The full board has not approved it.
