District news
First and second grade now have their own classes as enrollment grows

What happened
In January 2026, the principal reported that first and second grade were split into separate classrooms because enrollment increased; third and fourth grade are still combined. The superintendent had earlier reported first-grade numbers rose enough to hire a long-term substitute.
Why it matters to families
Smaller, single-grade classes change how young students are taught, and growth may affect future staffing.
