Board adopts revised District Code of Conduct for 2026-27

Day-to-day

What happened

On July 8, 2026, after a public hearing, the board voted 7-0 to adopt the District Code of Conduct for 2026-27. The district's student success director said a committee of students, teachers, administrators, family groups and others rewrote it with a shift toward restorative practices. The document was also redesigned.

Why it matters to families

The Code of Conduct sets student behavior rules and discipline for every school. Families should read the new version before school starts. The minutes do not list the specific rule changes.

The evidence

Minutes item 5.1 (public hearing) and resolution 6.9. No members of the public commented at the hearing.
