Pittsburg High athletic center moves into design

What happened

The district awarded the design contract for a new Pittsburg High athletic conditioning center after forming an athletics advisory committee to shape the project.

Why it matters to families

The project is intended to replace or improve a training facility that facilities minutes had flagged for safety and equity concerns, and it is moving toward a buildable design.

The evidence

The July workshop packet says the board awarded PBK Architects the design contract on April 29 and records committee meetings from January through June before presentation of design options.
