Bond project adds up to $750,000 for drainage plus roof and sewer repairs
What happened
On June 2, 2026 the board approved up to $750,000 in bond funds for parking lot and auxiliary gym drainage after flooding showed the county drain could not handle the water. It later approved up to $90,000 for roof problems found during bond work (from contingency funds) and up to $50,000 to replace failing 1969 sewer lines. Earlier it approved a $350,000-$360,000 elementary/ECC parking lot rebuild and about $540,000 in furniture.
Why it matters to families
Unplanned costs use up bond money that could have gone to other projects, and the roof repairs draw on contingency funds.
