P.S. 9 sets 2026–27 reading and math changes with June 2027 targets
What happened
The SLT set goals to reduce K-5 students performing well below grade level in literacy from 17 percent to 14 percent and in math from 11.5 percent to 8.5 percent by June 2027. Its plan calls for 95% Core Phonics in K-3 and Illustrative Mathematics in grades 3-5.
