Rising Tide Charter Public School — Admin hiring

In November 2025, the Rising Tide Charter Public School Board unanimously formed a search committee for the school's next Head of School, with trustees and staff serving and updates planned at each Board meeting. That vote set the formal process in motion for filling the school's top leadership role.

The search narrowed over the following months: after nine semifinalist interviews and one finalist's withdrawal, the committee advanced a single finalist in March 2026. The committee recommended internal candidate Zahra Williams, who met with students, families, staff, and administrators during the process.

Days later, following a public interview and deliberation, the Board unanimously authorized an offer to Williams. The proposed package includes a $155,000 base salary, annual Board-approved cost-of-living adjustments, and a performance bonus of up to $10,000, completing the transition from search launch to a concrete offer for the next Head of School.
