What happened

The board voted on February 10, 2026 to join the state's Cohort 3. Starting in fall 2026, the district will give special education to qualifying 3- to 5-year-olds. Child Development Services used to do this. Grants paid for a new pre-K and kindergarten bathroom and classroom furniture at Moscow.

Why it matters to families

Young children who need help will get it at Moscow Elementary instead of through an outside agency. It adds work for a district that has had trouble staffing special education.
