Voters approve $15,000 general fund levy
What happened
The May 5, 2026 mail-ballot election approved a general fund levy of up to $15,000 (about 2.49 mills), 283 to 110. The levy becomes permanent if it is used at least once in five years. Both trustee seats were filled by acclamation, so the trustee election was cancelled.
Why it matters to families
The levy raises local taxes slightly, by about $5.68 a year on a $300,000 home according to the ballot.
